Computer Vision Based Wheelchair System

Project Title : Visual Memory Navigation and Path Following in Outdoor Environment for Powered Wheelchair System
Project Summary:
The project aims at designing and building visual navigation system in outdoor environment using only vision sensor. Two scenarios are considered here, the first is the wheelchair outdoor navigation in large scale environment using visual memory with obstacle avoidance. The second is vision-based sidewalk path following in urban structures using visual landmarks.
